Boss Surprises Staff With Duit Raya In RM50 Bundles, Netizens Delighted

Date:

For many adults in the workforce, receiving duit raya has become a rare joy, as they are usually the ones handing it out rather than receiving it. Yet, the excitement of fresh notes still brings out the inner child in many.

One employee, known on Threads as @eyntsh_, shared that her boss surprised the office WhatsApp group by asking if staff wanted duit raya—accompanied by a photo of himself holding bundles of RM50 notes.

“Last night, the boss sent a photo to the office group asking if we wanted duit raya. At first, we thought it was a joke—but it turned out to be real. Thank you, boss!” she wrote.

The snapshot showed employees fanning out stacks of RM50 notes, each neatly placed in a yellow envelope. The thoughtful gesture quickly caught the attention of netizens, who were both shocked and delighted at such generosity from an employer who clearly values their team.

Comments flooded in, with Adam joking, “To all the staff, please resign so I could take your place. Thank you.” Another, @nblhaqq, lamented, “That’s great! My company is stingy—no bonuses at all. Guess it’s just not my luck.”

Others shared nostalgic stories of previous offices. Alyaa, now a housewife, fondly displayed her RM50 bundles from a former employer, while Ayin speculated if @eyntsh_ worked for content creator and entrepreneur Khairul Aming, known for his generous perks.

One user recalled receiving a RM1,000 Chinese New Year bonus last month and expressed hope for another round of bonuses in time for Raya.
