Netizens Stunned By Woman Replacing Light Bulb Near Top Of Petronas Twin Towers

Date:

A viral TikTok video showing maintenance workers carrying out repairs near the peak of one of the Petronas Twin Towers has captivated social media users, with many expressing both admiration and fear over the extreme heights involved.

The footage, uploaded by TikTok user Siva wwc, captures several workers secured with safety harnesses as they perform maintenance duties on the uppermost sections of the iconic Kuala Lumpur landmark.

Adding to the dramatic visuals was a thick layer of fog and clouds surrounding the tower, creating the illusion that the workers were operating high above the clouds.

One scene that particularly caught the attention of viewers showed a female maintenance worker wearing a red headscarf and full safety equipment emerging from the highest accessible point of the tower before carefully stepping onto the exterior structure.

She was seen calmly making her way across the framework to replace a faulty light bulb, showing little sign of concern despite the dizzying altitude.

In a moment that impressed many online, the worker even waved at the person filming before continuing with her task.

Another technician could also be seen nearby carrying out inspection and maintenance work while attached to multiple safety lines designed to protect workers at such extreme heights.

The video quickly gained traction across social media platforms, with countless users praising the dedication and bravery of those responsible for maintaining one of Malaysia’s most famous landmarks.

Many commenters were also curious about the salaries earned by workers performing such high-risk jobs.

“How much do they get paid for this kind of work?” one user asked.

Another joked: “Even if I was paid RM5,000 a day, I still wouldn’t go up there.”

Others described the workers as unsung heroes whose efforts ensure the Petronas Twin Towers continue to shine and remain a symbol of national pride.

Standing at 452 metres, the Petronas Twin Towers remain among the world’s most recognisable skyscrapers and held the title of the world’s tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004.
