2026 Grammys Recap: Kendrick, Gaga, Olivia Dean Shine on Music’s Biggest Night

The 68th Annual Grammy Awards took place on Sunday, Feb. 1, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, bringing together music’s biggest names for a night of celebration and recognition.

Kendrick Lamar, who led the nominations this year with nine nods, continued his record-breaking run, taking home the Record of the Year award for Luther alongside SZA. Lady Gaga also dominated, winning both Best Pop Vocal Album for MAYHEM and Best Dance Pop Recording for Abracadabra.

The prestigious Album of the Year went to Bad Bunny for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, while rising star Olivia Dean was named Best New Artist, breaking into the industry with her heartfelt performances. Billie Eilish took home Song of the Year for WILDFLOWER, co-written with Finneas O’Connell.

The ceremony, hosted by Trevor Noah for his sixth and reportedly final year, featured performances from Sabrina Carpenter, Pharrell Williams, Clipse, and all eight nominees for Best New Artist, including Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, Sombr, The Marías, and Leon Thomas.

Other top nominees this year included Lady Gaga, producers Cirkut and Jack Antonoff, Bad Bunny, Leon Thomas, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, SZA, Tyler, the Creator, Andrew Watt, and Pusha T & Malice of Clipse, highlighting the diversity and talent across genres in 2025’s music landscape.

The 2026 Grammys marked a celebration of both established superstars and emerging artists, showcasing music that resonates across the globe.
