Actress and singer Bella Astillah has revealed that she and fiancé Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman have yet to make any concrete preparations for their wedding as they remain focused on his upcoming court appeal.
Bella, 32, said the couple has not finalised a wedding date or venue and is prioritising the outcome of Syed Saddiq’s legal proceedings before making any major plans.
“Honestly, when it comes to wedding preparations, there’s not much I can share at the moment,” she told mStar.
The singer explained that their attention is currently centred on the Federal Court appeal scheduled for June 30 and expressed hope that supporters would continue to pray for a positive outcome.
“If people have noticed, our main focus right now is preparing for Syed Saddiq’s court date on June 30. We hope everyone will continue to keep us in their prayers,” she said.
Bella was speaking to reporters during the Bintang Universe: The Dimension concert held at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Shah Alam on Sunday.
The entertainer added that discussions regarding wedding arrangements would only begin after the legal matter has been resolved.
“Once that is settled, we will be ready to share more details with everyone. For now, we need to focus on what is most important,” she said.
Apart from addressing her wedding plans, Bella also responded to recent online discussions involving a prank video created for her mother’s birthday and comments regarding an outfit she wore at a recent event.
The actress said she takes public feedback seriously and is always willing to learn and improve.
“Whatever happened has already happened. We move forward and try to do better in the future. Thank you to everyone who continues to care and offer advice,” she said.
Bella and Syed Saddiq officially announced their engagement on March 28, sparking widespread attention among fans and social media users.
Meanwhile, Syed Saddiq is awaiting the final outcome of the prosecution’s appeal against his acquittal on charges involving criminal breach of trust, misuse of property and money laundering linked to funds belonging to Armada, the youth wing of his former political party.
The Federal Court is expected to deliver its decision on June 30, a date that could significantly shape the couple’s future plans.
