Actor and former WWE superstar John Cena has revealed he is undergoing a second hair transplant procedure, saying he has “gone all in” in pursuit of the best possible results.
The 49-year-old shared a behind-the-scenes photo on Facebook showing himself with a freshly shaved head as he shook hands with hair restoration specialist Dr Ken Anderson ahead of the procedure.
In the caption, Cena thanked the doctor and his medical team for supporting him throughout the process.
“Round 2 of FUE Treatment and this time I went all in for best possible results. Thank you Ken Anderson and the staff at Anderson Center for Hair for accompanying me on this journey!”
Cena previously underwent his first follicular unit extraction (FUE) hair transplant in November 2024. Speaking to PEOPLE magazine in 2025, he admitted that comments from WWE fans about his thinning hair encouraged him to seek treatment.
He recalled seeing audience signs referring to him as “The Bald John Cena”, saying the public attention motivated him to learn more about scalp and hair health instead of trying to hide his hair loss.
Since then, Cena has adopted a comprehensive hair care routine that includes red-light therapy, minoxidil, vitamins, specialised shampoo and conditioner, in addition to his hair transplant procedures.
The Hollywood star also admitted he regrets not seeking treatment sooner, saying he wished he had undergone the procedure a decade earlier if there had not been so much stigma surrounding male hair loss.
Cena pointed out that hair thinning affects millions of men and believes there should be no shame in seeking treatment. He said the transplant has boosted both his confidence and his acting career, explaining that having different hairstyles gives him greater flexibility when taking on new roles.
His latest update has drawn praise from fans, many of whom commended him for openly discussing hair restoration and helping reduce the stigma surrounding male hair loss.
