Legendary Irish pop group Westlife has officially announced the Kuala Lumpur stop of its highly anticipated Westlife 25: The Anniversary World Tour, marking 25 years since the band first burst onto the global music scene.
Presented by Live Nation Malaysia, the concert is scheduled to take place on 14 January 2027 at Unifi Arena. Kuala Lumpur will serve as the opening destination of the band’s Southeast Asian tour, which will also include performances in Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Hong Kong throughout January 2027.
Fans can expect a spectacular setlist featuring Westlife’s biggest hits from the past 25 years, including timeless ballads and chart-topping anthems that have defined the group’s enduring success.
The tour announcement comes as Westlife continues to celebrate the milestone with new music. On 8 May, the group released “Your Love Amazes Me”, the latest single from their upcoming album, 25 – The Ultimate Collection. Produced by Jamie Scott, Daniel Bryer and Martin Hannah, the emotional ballad showcases the band’s signature harmonies and explores themes of love, hope and gratitude.
The song follows the release of “Chariot”, a new track written by Ed Sheeran, Johnny McDaid and Will Reynolds, and co-written and produced by Steve Mac. The uplifting anthem celebrates love, family and life’s most meaningful moments.
Both songs will appear on 25 – The Ultimate Collection, a special anniversary album featuring 21 of Westlife’s most iconic songs, including “You Raise Me Up,” “Uptown Girl,” and “Flying Without Wings,” alongside brand-new recordings by all four members — Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily.
Reflecting on the milestone, Westlife said the anniversary marks an incredible chapter in the band’s journey.
“This year marks 25 years since we started this incredible journey together and it still feels like only the beginning. The support from our fans has been unbelievable, and to celebrate with this world tour, new music, and a brand-new album feels truly special. We can’t wait to see you all on the road and share this next chapter together,” the group said.
