A shocking knife attack involving teenagers occurred in Liverpool, UK. A 15-year-old boy was stabbed 11 times at a bus stop by a 14-year-old boy, while the victim’s girlfriend, who attempted to intervene, was also stabbed in the chest and seriously injured. The case is currently being heard at Liverpool Crown Court, with the teenage attacker facing charges of attempted murder and possession of a knife.
According to Mirror UK, prosecutors said the two boys had previously been involved in a conflict in the local area, with the victim accused of injuring the stabber’s friend. Allegedly seeking revenge, the 14-year-old hid a knife in his waistband before going out with his friend to confront the victims again. Around 8 p.m. that evening, he spotted the 15-year-old victim and two girls waiting at a bus stop outside a convenience store on Whitefield Drive.
CCTV footage showed the attacker ambushing the victim from behind, stabbing him multiple times. When the victim fell to the ground, the attack continued, and the victim’s girlfriend rushed to intervene, sustaining a stab wound to her chest. Prosecutors reported that the victim suffered 11 stab wounds, while his girlfriend was seriously injured. Both were taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for treatment. The attackers fled the scene but were arrested at their home less than an hour later.
The prosecution emphasized that the attack was premeditated and not a spur-of-the-moment incident. The teenager brought a knife with him and ambushed the victim from behind in a violent attack. Although the attacker admitted to stabbing the two victims, he claimed he only intended to “seriously injure” them rather than kill. Prosecutors rejected this, noting that the attacker struck 11 times and continued the assault even after the victim fell, demonstrating clear intent to kill. The trial is ongoing.
