7-Year-Old Swallows Ultraman Toy While Snacking – X-Ray Goes Viral

Date:

A 7-year-old boy accidentally swallowed a small Ultraman keychain while snacking and watching TV last Saturday, sparking a wave of online amusement after his family shared X-ray images showing the toy inside his stomach.

The boy, from Yilan, reportedly swallowed the 2.8 cm × 1.4 cm keychain while distracted by a TV show. Alarmed, his family rushed him to Luodong Boai Hospital, where doctors confirmed via X-ray that the toy had reached his small intestine. Fortunately, he remained healthy, and no surgical intervention was required. Medical staff will monitor him to see if the toy passes naturally.

The boy’s family humorously placed the keychain next to the X-ray and labeled it “Ultraman himself,” prompting widespread laughter online. Social media users reacted with amusement, commenting things like: “Can I frame this X-ray? So cool! 🤣” and “Ultraman is almost exiting!”

Doctors also cautioned that children should be observed for signs of intestinal blockage, severe abdominal pain, or vomiting. If any of these occur, immediate medical attention is required. Otherwise, as long as the child remains active and playful, observation is sufficient.

The family expressed relief that the boy is unharmed and hopes Ultraman will safely “complete his mission.” Medical professionals advise parents to discourage children from playing while eating to prevent similar incidents.
