Australian Man Found Dead in Hong Kong Hotel, Suspected Drug Overdose

A 41-year-old Australian man was found dead in his hotel room at the Grand Hyatt in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, on Tuesday night, with police suspecting a drug overdose as the cause.

Authorities received a report around 9.09pm after the man was discovered unconscious in the bathroom. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the deceased held a Hong Kong identity card. Dangerous drugs were found in the room, though the exact substances have not been disclosed. No suicide note was discovered.

Initial investigations point to a possible overdose, but the exact cause of death will be confirmed following an autopsy.
