The General Operations Force (GOF) seized over 1,200 units of vape liquid and dozens of vaping devices during a raid on a premises in Jalan Jeli Kelewek, Tanah Merah on Monday night.
GOF Southeast Brigade commander Datuk Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid said the 10.15pm raid was part of Op Taring Wawasan Kelantan. A 43-year-old local man at the scene failed to present any valid documentation for storing or owning the items, as required by the Tanah Merah District Council (MDTM).
Authorities confiscated 1,242 units of vape liquid and 36 boxes of vape devices, estimated to be worth RM125,000. The seized items have since been handed over to the council for further action.
The case is being investigated under Sections 3(1) and 8(1) of the MDTM Business and Industrial Trade Licensing By-Laws 2019.
