A house in Tabuan Desa, Kuching, nearly went up in flames early this morning after a table suddenly caught fire.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a distress call at 6.11am and deployed firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya station.
According to Bomba, the fire was confined to a single table and did not spread to the rest of the house.
Photos provided by the department showed the burnt table positioned beside a larger table that appeared to have been converted into a makeshift altar. Several pentagrams were also found drawn on the floor and on a nearby wall, suggesting possible occult activity.

The operation concluded at 6.37am.
