Train services were temporarily disrupted this morning after a car crashed onto the railway tracks at Tampin station in Negeri Sembilan.
The incident occurred at about 9am when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and accidentally stepped on the accelerator near the station. The car broke through the station’s perimeter fence before slamming into an electrical control box beside the tracks, according to China Press.
The impact left the vehicle stranded directly on the railway line, damaging electrical equipment and causing a short circuit that forced train operations in the area to be suspended.
Despite the severity of the crash, the driver escaped unhurt and was taken to a nearby hospital for precautionary checks.
A crane was later deployed to remove the vehicle from the tracks. Train services resumed once the car was cleared and safety checks were completed.
No injuries were reported, and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
