A 57-year-old man in Japan has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman at a chiropractic clinic in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Tatsuya Yamaguchi, describes himself as a chiropractor and allegedly assaulted a woman in her 40s during a treatment session in March.
Japanese media outlet TV Asahi reported that Yamaguchi was taken into custody on Wednesday following investigations into the incident.
Authorities said the suspect has denied the allegations against him.
However, police revealed that during questioning, Yamaguchi admitted to having physical contact with the woman.
“I did hug and kiss her a few times, but I didn’t do anything like that,” he was quoted as saying.
Police are continuing investigations into the case and have not disclosed further details regarding the alleged incident.
The arrest has since sparked concern online, with many calling for stricter safeguards and monitoring involving treatment sessions at private clinics.
