Damaged Car Driving Against Traffic Suspected Of Drug Use In Johor

Date:

A video showing a damaged car driving against traffic has gone viral on social media, sparking concern among road users and prompting questions over the driver’s condition during the incident.

The footage shows a severely damaged car continuing to move along the road despite its front end being badly wrecked. The vehicle is seen driving dangerously close to other cars, with several motorists expressing anger and attempting to stop it.

Based on online reports, the incident is believed to have taken place yesterday afternoon in the Taman Rinting area of Ulu Tiram, Johor, although authorities have not officially confirmed the exact time and location. The video was later uploaded by local influencer Uncle Wen, which quickly drew widespread attention online.

In the circulating clips, the vehicle is seen swerving while driving in the wrong direction, prompting other road users to honk and intervene. Some individuals even exited their vehicles to block the car and force it to stop.

Witnesses at the scene claimed that the driver appeared disoriented after stepping out of the vehicle, raising suspicions about his condition. It was also alleged by members of the public that an electronic cigarette device was found inside the car, leading to speculation that the driver may have been under the influence. However, these claims have not been verified by authorities.

The situation escalated as members of the public attempted to prevent the driver from re-entering the vehicle and leaving the scene. Police were later called to handle the incident.

The case has sparked broader debate online, not only about reckless driving, but also about members of the public entering and searching a stranger’s vehicle at the scene.

From a public safety perspective, experts note that driving while in an impaired or unstable mental state poses serious risks not only to the driver but also to other road users, especially in residential or high-traffic areas where accidents can escalate rapidly.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, while further details on the driver’s condition and the circumstances surrounding the case remain under investigation.
