Dashcam Shows Chain-Reaction Crash After Motorcycle Cuts Lane Abruptly

Date:

A rear dashcam video has gone viral on social media after capturing a dramatic chain-reaction accident involving multiple motorcyclists on a busy road.

The footage, shared by a netizen on Threads, shows an orange motorcycle travelling in the left lane before suddenly cutting into the right lane just moments before the road splits. The abrupt manoeuvre appears to have forced the rider to react quickly to avoid oncoming traffic in the adjacent lane.

In the process, the motorcyclist lost control, crashing into a metal guardrail divider and falling onto the road along with a passenger.

The situation quickly escalated when a second rider on a black motorcycle, travelling behind, was unable to brake in time and collided with the scene, resulting in another fall.

Moments later, a third motorcyclist dressed in blue attempted to swerve near the guardrail to avoid the pile-up but struck one of the fallen motorcycles, causing yet another crash.

The incident has sparked concern among netizens over road safety and reckless lane-changing behaviour, especially on high-speed roads with split exits.

It remains unclear whether a police report has been lodged. However, one of the victims believed to be the rider of the black motorcycle later shared an update online, showing what appeared to be a bandaged right ankle, suggesting injuries were sustained in the crash.
