Two factories were destroyed in a fire at Jalan Kampung Baru Sungai Buloh today, in an incident that saw multiple fire units rushed to the scene.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Assistant Director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said firefighters from the Sungai Buloh fire station were deployed immediately after an emergency call was received at 7.32am.
He said the blaze involved two Class A industrial premises, with one factory producing hardware goods suffering about 90 per cent damage.
The second premises, a furniture factory, was about 60 per cent destroyed in the fire.
No fatalities or injuries have been reported so far at either location, he added.
Firefighters from Bukit Jelutong, Subang Jaya, Damansara and Selayang stations were also dispatched to assist in bringing the fire under control.
A total of 26 personnel, four fire engines, two water tankers and two Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) units were involved in the operation.
