A 14-year-old student has been arrested for allegedly punching and threatening a teacher at a secondary school in Kajang.
Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abd Yusof said the male student was detained yesterday after a 29-year-old teacher filed a police report. The incident reportedly occurred on Monday when the teacher reprimanded the student for skipping physical education class.

According to preliminary findings, the confrontation escalated into a physical altercation during which the student allegedly punched the teacher in the face and issued threats in front of other staff and students. The case is being investigated under Sections 323 and 506 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation. If convicted, the student could face up to one year in prison or a RM2,000 fine (or both) under Section 323, and up to two years’ jail or a fine (or both) under Section 506.
The student has been remanded for two days and is expected to be charged in the magistrate’s court today. Police are urging anyone with information to contact Investigating Officer Inspector Mohd Amirul Abd Wahab at 013-549 5236. Authorities also remind students to follow school rules and avoid actions that could endanger their futures.
