A man has died after a four-wheel-drive vehicle he was in was crushed by a fallen tree on Jalan Batang Kali, Hulu Selangor, today.
Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, Deputy Director of Operations at the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), said authorities received a call at 2:14 p.m. A team of five firefighters, along with equipment from the Kuala Kubu Bharu Fire Station, was dispatched to the scene.
“Upon arrival, we found a tree had fallen and trapped a Toyota Hilux,” he said in a statement. “One local male is believed to have died as a result of the incident.”
Ahmad Mukhlis added that rescue operations to extricate the victim are currently underway.
