Police are on the hunt for the driver of a Mazda RX-8 believed to have been left in the emergency lane due to a breakdown before it was struck by a motorcyclist, resulting in a fatal accident on Tuesday.

Subang Jaya district police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the incident was reported at about 6.15am involving a collision between two vehicles at Kilometer 12.5 of the ELITE Highway.

The crash involved a Modenas motorcycle which collided with the rear of a Mazda RX-8 that had been parked and abandoned in the emergency lane, allegedly due to mechanical failure.
