The Deputy Chief of Bestari Jaya Police Station (OCS) was seriously injured after his motorcycle skidded off the road following a collision with another motorcycle in Kampung Sungai Darah, Bestari Jaya, yesterday evening.
The incident, which occurred around 6.20 p.m., left 43-year-old Sergeant Ahmad Fadly Mohamad Khairuddin with severe head injuries.
Kuala Selangor District Police Chief, Superintendent Azaharudin Tajudin, said the accident happened while the officer was on his way from the Bestari Jaya Police Station to Sekolah Rendah Agama (SRA) Rantau Panjang to pick up his child.
“Upon reaching the location, the Yamaha NVX motorcycle ridden by the victim is believed to have grazed another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. The victim lost control, causing his bike to skid off to the left side of the road,” he said when contacted today.
The officer was rushed to the emergency unit at Tanjong Karang Hospital for further treatment. The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
