Repeated Insults To Parents Lead Man To Brutal Neighbour Murder

Date:

A violent killing in Chachoengsao has shocked residents after a young man allegedly attacked and killed a neighbour following claims of repeated insults directed at his parents, before attempting to dispose of evidence in a nearby waterway.

Police from Bang Pakong Police Station were alerted at around 7am on April 17, 2026, and arrived at a residence in Nong Chok Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District, together with forensic officers, medical personnel from Bang Pakong Hospital, forensic science experts, and rescue teams to investigate the scene.

Inside a bedroom of a single-storey house, officers discovered the body of 42-year-old factory worker Thidaporn lying face-up on a blood-stained bed. Her body bore multiple stab wounds to the face, neck and torso, while broken glass was also found scattered across the floor and collected as evidence.

Investigators later questioned a relative of a neighbouring family, identified as Somprasong, who appeared visibly anxious and suspicious during initial checks. He was taken to the police station for further questioning, where he eventually confessed to the killing.

During his statement, Somprasong claimed the motive stemmed from long-standing verbal insults allegedly directed at his parents by the victim. He said he could no longer tolerate the behaviour, which led to the fatal confrontation.

Police said the suspect admitted to striking the victim with a stick before hitting her with a bottle and repeatedly stabbing her with a knife, resulting in fatal injuries. After the attack, he reportedly removed his bloodstained clothing, placed them in a bag along with the weapon, and disposed of them in a body of water in an attempt to conceal evidence.

Authorities have since taken him into custody as investigations continue, with police treating the case as a premeditated violent crime while further forensic examinations are carried out.
