Seven Nepalese passengers were injured after a tour bus overturned in a collision involving two tour buses and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) along KM15 of the Genting Highlands-Genting Sempah downhill route on Saturday evening.
Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) operations assistant director Mohd Salahuddin Isa said firefighters received an emergency call regarding the incident at 5.29pm.
A team from the Genting Highlands Fire and Rescue Station was immediately dispatched to the scene, arriving at about 6.06pm.
Initial findings revealed that one of the tour buses carrying 36 Nepalese passengers had overturned, leaving seven occupants injured.
Meanwhile, a second tour bus carrying 34 passengers from Bangladesh and Nepal was also involved in the accident. However, all passengers on board escaped unharmed.
The three occupants travelling in a Perodua Aruz SUV were likewise reported safe and did not sustain any injuries.
Mohd Salahuddin said all victims had managed to exit their vehicles before rescue personnel arrived at the scene.
Firefighters provided immediate assistance to the injured passengers before handing them over to Health Ministry personnel for further treatment at hospital.
The rescue team also carried out clean-up operations at the crash site, including clearing an oil spill to ensure the road was safe for other motorists.
