A tragic domestic dispute turned fatal in Chiayi County, Taiwan, when a 30-year-old woman surnamed Huang allegedly stabbed her 36-year-old husband, surnamed Chuang, to death following an argument in the early hours of August 6.
According to police, the couple, who lived in Shuishang Township, were both food delivery workers with unstable employment. Around 1 a.m., they got into a heated argument over financial and parenting issues. During the altercation, Huang reportedly went to the kitchen on the first floor, retrieved a fruit knife, and proceeded to the third-floor bedroom, where she allegedly carried out the attack.
Emergency services rushed Chuang to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
Police say they have identified the motive behind the stabbing based on their preliminary investigation. The victim’s younger brother was notified and arrived at the scene, telling authorities that the couple frequently fought.
Huang has been taken into custody and is currently facing charges of murder.
