Two 17-year-old male students, both upcoming SPM candidates, have been charged in the Alor Gajah Children’s Court for allegedly gang-raping a 15-year-old female classmate and recording the incident on their phones.
They face three charges: gang rape, unnatural sexual intercourse, and sexual assault. One accused pleaded guilty to all charges, while the other pleaded not guilty and requested a trial.
The alleged crimes took place on 30 September around 2:50 pm in a Form Three classroom at a local secondary school. Conviction could result in significant prison terms under Sections 375B and 377B of the Penal Code, as well as the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
The prosecution sought RM20,000 bail per charge per accused. The court granted a total bail of RM7,000 for each accused and scheduled document submission and character report hearings on 26 November.
Previously, police remanded four male students for six days after the allegations surfaced, with two accused reportedly recording the assault on their mobile phones.
