Two Trapped And Burned To Death After Car Slams Into Tree In Johor

Two people were burned to death after their car crashed into a tree and caught fire in a palm oil plantation along Jalan Tanjung Balau earlier today.

Senior Fire Officer II Faizal Ahmad, who led the operation from the Penawar Fire and Rescue Station, said the victims — a man and a woman — were believed to have been trapped inside the Toyota Vios when it burst into flames.

“The emergency call was received at 4.48am. Upon arrival, firefighters found a car completely engulfed in flames after crashing into a tree,” he said in a statement.

“One of the victims was a 21-year-old man, while the woman’s identity has yet to be determined,” he added.

Both victims were trapped inside the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene due to the fire.
