Woman Arrested After Viral Outburst at Gombak Clinic, Charged in Court

Date:

A woman whose aggressive behaviour at a health clinic in Gombak went viral has been arrested and was charged in court earlier today.

Gombak police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said a police report was lodged yesterday at 12.25pm by another woman who witnessed the incident.

The suspect, believed to be in her 20s, had visited the clinic with her child when she reportedly became aggressive toward staff and members of the public. According to police, she hurled profanities at civil servants and patients, spat, climbed onto a waiting chair and continued shouting at those present.

She was arrested the same day, and the case was investigated under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955.

The woman was charged at the Selayang magistrate’s court this morning. The court fixed Dec 19 for mention and ordered her to undergo psychological evaluation at Bahagia Hospital. No bail was offered.

Earlier, a video showing the woman’s behaviour inside the clinic, in full view of patients and healthcare personnel, circulated widely on social media and WhatsApp. The footage ended with her being escorted out in handcuffs.
