Woman Targeted in Daylight Snatch Theft While Refueling at Petrol Station

Date:

A woman in Puchong Jaya narrowly escaped serious injury after a man on a motorcycle snatched her bag in broad daylight, leaving her sprawled on the ground.

The victim, known online as Cabi, shared dashcam footage of the February 10 incident at a Shell petrol station, warning others to stay vigilant. In the video, she can be seen refueling her Perodua Axia with her bag slung over her shoulder. A man on a red motorcycle initially passed by, then returned moments later to grab her bag, which contained her phone, wallet, house keys, and car keys, before fleeing the scene.

Cabi recounted the fall caused by the snatch but said she sustained only minor bruises to her knees. A bystander immediately stopped to assist, lending her a phone and giving her a ride to a friend’s home.

She filed a police report, but authorities have yet to apprehend the suspect. “I went back and forth between two stations that day and got home late at night. It’s under investigation, but I haven’t received updates,” Cabi shared on Instagram.

In her post, she urged the public to remain aware of their surroundings: “Sharing this as a reminder… don’t be so blur like me. Please be safe.”
