A four-and-a-half-year-old Chinese boy has gone viral for his impressive customer service skills after a video showed him confidently trying to attract diners to his family’s restaurant in central China.
The young boy shot to fame after Serbian expatriate Saitie posted a video of him outside the family’s Anhui cuisine restaurant in Huangshan, Anhui province, on Sept 12.

In the video, the child showed no hesitation as he approached Saitie and politely asked: “Would you like to dine in our restaurant?”
Saitie initially turned him down, explaining that it was already 3pm and he had eaten. Undeterred, the boy immediately moved on to another passer-by to promote the restaurant.
When Saitie asked whether he was the restaurant’s “little boss”, the boy confidently replied “yes”.
Asked what dish he would recommend, the young salesman simply replied: “Anything you want.”
Eventually, Saitie decided to enter the restaurant and order fried rice, saying he did not want to disappoint the child.
The vlogger later praised the boy for providing what he called “five-star service”, saying the child prepared the tableware, offered him a complimentary soft drink and even reminded him to eat slowly using a small bowl.
“If you eat this rice too fast, isn’t there nothing left to eat?” the boy reportedly told him.
Saitie described the child as a kind and adorable “baby boss”.
The video received 260,000 likes on a Chinese short-video platform and was later shared on an international platform under the account @sj_china_vlog, where it attracted 50,000 reposts.
Viewers responded with a mix of humorous and heartwarming comments, with one joking that the boy had mastered the art of quickly moving on after rejection.
Another commenter jokingly claimed the boy was so mature that he would drop his parents off at work before going to school and even comfort doctors when receiving an injection.
A Chinese netizen also praised Saitie for agreeing to eat at the restaurant despite not being hungry, simply to avoid disappointing the boy, while allowing him to play nearby.
The boy’s mother later responded through the restaurant’s social media account, saying the family had never taught him how to attract customers.
Instead, she said, he picked up the skill by observing adults because he wanted to act like “a little adult” and help his family.
She said he often offers customers complimentary drinks and buns, helps prepare their tables and even knows how to handle rejection.
According to his mother, when customers turn him down, he sometimes invites them to “come back tomorrow”.
She also expressed her gratitude to Saitie for treating her son kindly.
