Man Arrested After Allegedly Asking Mother For Sex In Drug-Fuelled Messages

Date:

A 38-year-old man has been arrested in Thailand after allegedly sending disturbing messages to his mother requesting sexual relations while reportedly under the influence of drugs.

The incident came to light after the man’s 57-year-old mother filed a police report, claiming she feared for her safety after receiving inappropriate messages from her son through the LINE messaging application.

According to police, the woman became alarmed by the messages and immediately sought assistance from authorities, prompting an investigation.

Officers from Samrong Tai Police Station in Samut Prakan Province launched an operation and arrested the suspect, identified only as Mr. P, at a community in Bangkok on June 3.

Investigators said the evidence gathered from the case indicated that the suspect’s actions had caused significant distress to the victim and disrupted her ability to live normally, leading to allegations of sexual harassment.

During questioning, police reported that the suspect appeared to be suffering from drug-induced hallucinations and was speaking incoherently.

Authorities said the man admitted to using methamphetamine earlier that day and also confessed to sending the messages to his mother requesting sexual relations.

Police subsequently detained the suspect for further questioning before proceeding with formal charges and legal action.

Under Thai law, the offence carries a potential penalty of up to two years in prison, a fine of up to 40,000 baht, or both if convicted.

The case has sparked widespread public attention due to the shocking nature of the allegations and the involvement of a close family relationship.

Investigations remain ongoing as authorities continue to gather additional evidence and complete legal procedures.
