Man Threatens To Kill Train Passengers Before Biting Victim’s Finger In Terrifying Attack

Date:

Police have released CCTV images as they search for a man following a violent incident in which a train passenger allegedly threatened to kill fellow commuters before biting another man’s finger, causing serious injuries.

The incident reportedly took place at around 9.20pm on May 21 aboard a train travelling between Cannon Street and Orpington in Greater London.

According to police, the suspect became verbally abusive and increasingly aggressive towards other passengers before allegedly making death threats. When several commuters attempted to restrain him, the man is said to have bitten another passenger’s finger, leaving the victim with a deep wound as well as nerve and ligament damage.

Authorities said the suspect continued behaving aggressively and allegedly attempted to assault other passengers before getting off the train at New Cross station. The frightening incident has raised fresh concerns over passenger safety on public transport and the increasing number of violent incidents involving commuters.

Investigators have now released CCTV footage of a man they believe may be able to assist with the investigation. Police are appealing for anyone who recognises the individual or has information about the incident to come forward.
