11-Year-Old Boy Killed After Motorcycle Being Towed Is Hit By Car

Date:

An 11-year-old boy was killed after the motorcycle he was riding—being towed by another motorcycle—was struck by a Perodua Axia in a late-night crash along the Kota Bharu–Kuala Terengganu road near Kampung Bukit Kenak.

The incident occurred at about 11.30pm, with the victim identified as Wan Julaini Wan Noh, who died from severe head injuries and trauma to multiple parts of his body.

Besut District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Rozaime Ab Rahim said the victim was riding a broken-down Modenas Dinamik motorcycle that was being towed by another bike when the crash happened.

He said a Perodua Axia driven by a 21-year-old woman allegedly crashed into the rear of the motorcycles after arriving at the scene.

The impact caused the boy to be dragged approximately 50 metres, he added.

Medical personnel confirmed the victim had died at the scene due to serious injuries.

His remains were later sent to the Forensic Unit at Besut Hospital for further action.

Police have reminded parents not to allow underage children to ride motorcycles on public roads for safety reasons.
