Audi Driver Trapped In Car After Crash Near SMART Tunnel

A 37-year-old man was injured and trapped in the driver’s seat after the Audi he was driving was involved in an accident near the SMART Tunnel towards the city centre on Sunday.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department operations commander PBK I Najilan Che Pha said a Fire Rescue Tender and five firefighters from the Pudu Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call.

“Upon arrival, we found an accident involving an Audi with a 37-year-old male victim.

“The victim was injured and trapped in the driver’s seat,” he said in a statement today.

Firefighters then carried out a rescue operation to free the man from the vehicle.

The victim suffered injuries to his leg and was successfully extricated before being handed over to a Malaysian Civil Defence Force ambulance.

He was then taken to hospital for further treatment.
