Blaze Destroys Three Factory Buses In Selangor Industrial Area

Date:

Three factory buses were destroyed in a fire at Taman Melati Desa Kiambang, Serendah, early this morning.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Assistant Director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the department received an emergency call at 2.42am before deploying teams to the scene.

He said 10 firefighters, along with two fire engines from the Bukit Sentosa and Kuala Kubu Bharu fire stations, were dispatched for firefighting operations.

“The three buses were located within the factory compound, but their types could not be identified. One bus was about 90 per cent burnt, while the other two were about 95 per cent destroyed,” he said.

He added that ‘overhaul’ work was carried out to ensure the fire was completely extinguished and to prevent any risk of it reigniting.

According to him, no casualties or structural damage were reported in the incident.
