What was meant to be a satisfying Indian meal turned into a shocking experience for a customer after he discovered a baby cockroach in his fish curry at a restaurant in Klang. The incident, which occurred on February 22, was shared on TikTok.
The man ordered cheese naan, thosai, and puri, but was horrified when he found the insect in his curry. “Found a baby cockroach in the fish curry. Informed the staff — they quietly took the plate away and waved off the bill. That was it,” he said.
He added that the restaurant staff did not offer a proper apology or explanation, with one employee even smiling during the incident. “No proper apology, no explanation, no reassurance. Just looks as if this was something normal,” he shared.
The customer said the experience left him feeling nauseous and uncomfortable. “I didn’t even manage to collect the receipt because everything happened so fast. Food hygiene isn’t something to take lightly,” he stressed.
