DBKL, JPJ And Police Conduct Major Traffic Crackdown In Kuala Lumpur

A total of 285 compound notices were issued, with 11 vehicles also towed during Operasi Bersepadu Halang Siri 3/2026 conducted across the city centre yesterday.

The joint enforcement operation was carried out by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) together with the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) and the Road Transport Department (JPJ) at key locations, including Jalan Tun Sambanthan and Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.

According to DBKL, enforcement action was taken against various traffic offences, including motorists disobeying traffic signals, obstructing main roads, and misusing pedestrian and disabled (OKU) lanes.

DBKL said it issued 80 compound notices and towed 11 vehicles under the Road Traffic Rules 1959 and the Road Transport Act 1987.

In the same operation, JSPT issued 45 notices, while JPJ recorded 160 notices for various traffic offences detected during the coordinated enforcement exercise.

DBKL added that such integrated operations will continue from time to time at identified hotspot locations to ensure compliance with traffic laws.
