Early-Morning AC Fire Put Out By Homeowner In Taman Malihah

A 46-year-old homeowner in Taman Malihah, Sarawak, managed to put out a fire that broke out from an air-conditioning unit shortly after midnight.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received an emergency call at 1.07am, prompting firefighters from the Petra Jaya Fire and Rescue Station to be deployed to the scene.

According to Bomba, the fire involved an outdoor air-conditioning unit at a residential property, with a nearby motorcycle also damaged in the incident.

However, the homeowner successfully extinguished the blaze before the arrival of firefighters.

The fire did not spread to the main structure of the house, and no injuries or fatalities were reported.

Fire and rescue operations concluded at 1.49am.
