Express Bus With 39 Passengers Loses Control And Crashes Into 3 Cars

An express bus was involved in an accident with three other vehicles after it allegedly lost control while navigating a bend at Kilometer 47 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway near here yesterday.

Bentong District Police Chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the incident was reported to police by a member of the public at around 6pm.

“Investigations found that the accident involved an express bus carrying 39 passengers from the Gombak Integrated Terminal heading towards Raub. Upon reaching the scene, the bus is believed to have lost control and crashed into three other vehicles.

“Fortunately, none of the victims sustained injuries in the accident,” he said in a statement today.

The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Zaiham also urged anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation by contacting the Bentong District Police Headquarters (IPD) or the nearest police station.
