Fisherman Found Dead After Suspected Drowning In Selangor Lake

A man was found dead after he was believed to have drowned while fishing at a lake behind the Serendah Health Clinic in Selangor on Sunday.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Rawang Zone chief Senior Fire Superintendent II Mustakim Rimon said the department received an emergency call regarding the incident at 12.06pm.

He said a team from the Kuala Kubu Bharu Fire and Rescue Station was immediately deployed to the scene to carry out search and rescue operations.

Upon arrival, firefighters were informed that a 50-year-old man was believed to have fallen into the lake while fishing.

The victim was later retrieved from the water with assistance from the Batang Kali Volunteer Fire Brigade (PBS), according to authorities.

Medical personnel from the Health Ministry (KKM) confirmed that the man had died at the scene.

The body was subsequently handed over to police for further action.

Firefighters said the operation, involving four personnel, concluded at 2.16pm.
