Form Two Student Injured After Classmate Allegedly Stabs Him With Kerambit In Shah Alam School

Date:

A 14-year-old Form Two student sustained a minor injury to his arm after allegedly being stabbed with a kerambit by his female classmate at a school in Shah Alam on Aug 5.

Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sarudin Samah said the incident occurred at around 11.42am and involved two students from the same class.

“The victim, aged 14, suffered minor injuries. The suspect is a female student while the victim is male, and both are classmates,” he said on Tuesday.

Police subsequently arrested the female student, who was later released on police bail after reportedly being in poor health.

Sarudin said the weapon allegedly used in the incident was a 10-centimetre-long kerambit, a traditional curved-blade weapon.

He added that police had yet to establish any motive or reason behind the incident, with investigations still ongoing.

“The suspect has been released on police bail and the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code,” he said.

The incident came to light after a post circulated on Threads alleging that a stabbing involving students had taken place at a secondary school in the Shah Alam area.
