A kindergarten principal died after suddenly collapsing while spending time with her family at a shopping mall in Kuching yesterday.
The incident reportedly occurred at Vivacity Megamall at around 4pm on Sept 16.
Several members of the public rushed to help the woman after she lost consciousness and fell to the ground.
Among those who came to her aid was a former nurse, who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in an attempt to save her.
The woman was subsequently rushed to the red zone of the Emergency Department at Sarawak General Hospital for emergency treatment.
However, she later died at the hospital.
The deceased was identified as Jun Azlin binti Jamanil, principal of Tadika Tahfiz Hikmah Kuching.
The incident was reported by Kuching King in a Facebook post and Sin Chew Daily.
As of the latest report, authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident or confirm the cause of her death.
