A man believed to be a foreign national has sparked amusement online after he was seen soaking his feet and washing himself in a fountain pool outside the Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC).
A video shared on Threads by @_amyyyrhmn yesterday showed the man sitting at the edge of the pool while dipping both feet into the water. The unusual scene quickly caught the attention of visitors in the area.
The man was later seen washing his hands and even cleaning his armpits after apparently noticing an auxiliary police officer approaching him. Such an unexpected sight at one of Kuala Lumpur’s best-known tourist spots naturally drew plenty of attention.
In the video, which is less than a minute long, the man eventually left the area after being approached and spoken to by the auxiliary police officer.
The post’s uploader said the incident happened yesterday afternoon, joking that she was relieved the man did not go as far as swimming in the pool, which could have turned the area into an impromptu “water theme park”.
The video prompted mixed reactions online, with some users finding the man’s actions amusing while others questioned whether tighter monitoring was needed around the recreational area.
One user joked that the man had at least managed to wash his armpits while enjoying a view of the KLCC, while another quipped that the fountain could apparently now double as a bathing spot if nobody intervened.
Another commenter questioned whether further action should have been taken, asking why the man appeared to be allowed to simply leave after being approached.
The incident has since become a talking point online, highlighting how unusual behaviour at popular public attractions can quickly attract attention when captured on camera.
