Visitors at a shopping centre along Jalan Meru were left shocked after a man was found dead after allegedly falling from the building on Friday.
The local man, believed to be in his 30s, was discovered lying on the pavement area outside the premises at around 11am.
Klang Utara district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ramsay Embol said initial investigations found that the shopping centre had a four-storey parking area.
He said the victim was believed to have fallen from the fourth floor of the building before being found unconscious at the scene.
“The man was later pronounced dead by medical officers who arrived at the location,” he said in a statement.
Ramsay added that the victim’s body was sent to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) Klang for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Police are appealing to members of the public with information regarding the incident to contact Investigating Officer Inspector Mohamad Hadir Hassan at 012-2134515 or the nearest police station.
The incident had earlier gone viral on social media after several images and videos showing the discovery of the body were circulated online.
