A man who went missing from his family’s farm near Kampung Fairy, Bau, on Sept 16 was found dead about 500 metres from the farmhouse on Saturday.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said Clement Chimiet Conos was discovered at about 2.50pm, trapped between rocks at a height of around 20 metres.
Bomba personnel carried out a recovery operation using a stretcher before handing the victim’s remains over to the police for further action.
Conos had been reported missing from his family’s farm on Wednesday, prompting a search for him in the surrounding area.
Following the discovery and recovery, the operation was declared complete, with personnel from the Bau Fire and Rescue Station returning to the station.
