A man was left shocked after discovering a sack believed to contain human remains while carrying out pesticide work at a farm near a rice mill here today.
Kangar district police chief Assistant Commissioner Yusharifuddin Mohd Yusop said police received a report regarding the discovery from the man at 10.48am.
He said the complainant found the badly deteriorated sack while working at the farm at around 10.20am.
Following the report, a police team was immediately dispatched to the location to conduct further investigations.
Yusharifuddin said authorities are currently working to identify the remains and determine the actual cause of the incident.
The items recovered from the scene, including the sack and suspected remains, will be sent to the forensic unit for further analysis and verification.
Police are continuing investigations to gather more information regarding the discovery.
