A food delivery rider was involved in an accident after being hit by a car at a traffic light junction along Jalan Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari heading towards Eco Grandeur, Puncak Alam, on Tuesday.
The incident went viral after a video believed to have been recorded by a vehicle’s dashboard camera showed the rider waiting at the junction while the traffic light was red.
The footage showed the victim, who was riding a motorcycle, stopping at the intersection before a car approaching from behind suddenly crashed into him.
Based on comments accompanying the viral post, several social media users claimed that the car had allegedly run a red light before hitting the motorcycle.
The short video attracted attention online, with many users expressing concern over road safety and urging motorists to remain cautious, especially at busy intersections.
However, the details surrounding the accident, including the condition of the rider and the actual cause of the collision, have yet to be confirmed.
