Six Witnesses Questioned In Kampung Pandan School Assault Case Involving 11-Year-Old Boy

Date:

Police have recorded statements from six witnesses as part of ongoing investigations into a sexual assault case involving an 11-year-old boy at a school in Kampung Pandan.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said investigators are also looking into whether other students may have been victims.

“Investigations are ongoing, and the completed investigation paper will be submitted to the deputy public prosecutor as soon as possible for further instructions,” he said in a statement on Saturday.

Fadil said a 40-year-old teacher from the school was detained on Friday to assist in the investigation. Checks showed the educator has no prior criminal record and has been remanded for six days, until Thursday.

Wangsa Maju police chief ACP Mohamad Lazim Ismail said police received a report on the case on Tuesday.

The case is being investigated under Section 14(d) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
