Teacher Arrested In Desa Pandan Over Alleged Sexual Assault Of 13-Year-Old Student

Date:

Police are investigating a school teacher in Desa Pandan following allegations of repeated sexual assault against a 13-year-old student.

The teacher, who had previously been convicted for two sexual offence cases, came under scrutiny after the student’s 40-year-old father lodged a police report on February 3, 2026.

Wangsa Maju police chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Lazim Ismail, said the victim became acquainted with the suspect at school. “The victim alleged that the suspect had committed acts of sodomy on multiple occasions,” he stated.

The suspect has been arrested in connection with the new report, with the case being investigated under Section 14(d) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act (SOACA) 2017.

Lazim added that the teacher had previously been sentenced to eight years in prison and six strokes of the cane for prior sexual offence convictions.

Authorities urge the public to stay vigilant and immediately report any suspicious behaviour to protect the safety of children.
