Two areas in Sarawak and one in Pahang have recorded Level 1 (Caution) hot weather conditions today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said the affected areas in Sarawak are Telang Usan and Marudi, while Pekan is the affected district in Pahang.
According to MetMalaysia, a Level 1 heat alert is issued when the daily maximum temperature reaches between 35°C and 37°C for at least three consecutive days.
Meanwhile, thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to affect several areas in Sarawak until noon today.
The areas at risk include Sri Aman, Samarahan, Serian and Betong.
