Two cars were damaged after bursting into flames along Jalan Kerinchi here on Sunday night.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM KL) said the incident involved a BMW and a Perodua Axia, with an emergency call received at around 9.53pm.
According to a statement issued on Monday, the Kuala Lumpur Operations Centre received the distress call through the NG999 emergency line before a team was dispatched to the scene.
A total of six firefighters and officers from the Pantai Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were sent to the location along with a fire engine.
Upon arrival, firefighters found that both vehicles had been engulfed by the blaze.
The BMW was completely destroyed in the fire, while the Perodua Axia suffered approximately 30 per cent damage.
Firefighters successfully brought the blaze under control and extinguished it completely. No further details on injuries were provided.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, JBPM KL said.
