A viral video showing two men kissing while travelling on a train has sparked widespread discussion on social media, prompting a response from Rapid KL.
The footage, which has been circulating online in recent days, shows the two men seated inside a train carriage before appearing to kiss each other on the cheek.
The video gained further attention after it was shared on Threads by another user, who claimed the individuals involved were believed to be foreign nationals.
When contacted for comment, Rapid KL confirmed it was aware of the social media post and the video that had gone viral.
A spokesperson said acts deemed inappropriate under the operator’s regulations are prohibited across all Rapid KL train services.
“Such behaviour is not permitted on any Rapid KL train. Notices regarding prohibited conduct are displayed inside all our train carriages,” the spokesperson said.
Rapid KL also reminded passengers to report any incidents that may violate regulations or raise safety concerns through the company’s official communication channels.
The operator noted that every train carriage is equipped with a WhatsApp QR code, allowing commuters to contact customer service directly and report incidents in real time.
“Every report received will be investigated, and appropriate action will be taken promptly,” the spokesperson added.
The incident has since generated mixed reactions online, with social media users debating the behaviour shown in the video and discussing public conduct while using public transportation.
Rapid KL has urged commuters to remain respectful of regulations and to use official reporting channels whenever they witness incidents requiring attention.
